Acetone Transfer, soon to be lithograph.
This what is happening to the park near my house in Columbia, MD.
I think this really relates to some of the work I have been doing, particularly the lithos and acetone transfers. I spent the day there today taking pictures of it.
I’m not sure what is being built, I just think it kinda SUCKS.
The two of these images together have a very interesting relationship. I wasn’t planning on showing them together, but in my critique today the connection was made.
I am really getting into activating the paper as an art object and part of the piece itself. Placement of the print on the page, and breaking down the image into squares really helps to achieve this and frame the print in an interesting way.

Im not quite sure why the quality of the images looks so low res, if you click on them they look better :)
sketch I’ve done with acetone transfer. It started as an exploration of the relationship between the natural world and the human mark. But the light within the image is striking, and sort of transforms the piece into a spacial/light investigation. What do you think?
